Frequently Asked Questions

When should I start shopping for my gown?

We recommend starting your search 9-12 months before your wedding. BUT we can accommodate almost any timeline. Start by looking at different styles in magazines and online and envision what type of gown suits your personality, location and style.

Do you require an appointment to try on wedding dresses?

We prefer our bridal clients to have an appointment so we can provide them with the signature service we are known for. Who should I bring gown shopping with me?

The experts advise not to bring too many people. Your mom and one or two other trusted people seem to be the perfect combination. We have seen that too many people can often overwhelm the bride because everyone has an idea of what they see you wearing on your wedding day. Pick only a few people who love you to come and your experience will be a lot more enjoyable. You will have a better chance of being successful in your quest. In the end, we want you to find your gown that makes you feel amazing. You are the only one who will really know when you have found the gown that accomplishes this.

How do I choose the right size for my gown?

All bridal attire is not made to measure. They are cut to a size on each manufacturer’s sizing chart and are not consistent with ready-to-wear sizes. A size is chosen based on the least amount of alterations necessary for an excellent fit. Generally, most gowns need some alterations. Our bridal consultants can help you choose a size by showing you the particular manufacturer’s size chart, but the final decision is yours!

Should I look for my wedding gown and the bridesmaids’ gowns on the same day?

Ideally, you’ll find your wedding gown first, then we’ll move to our bridesmaid dresses and guide you through our full selection. If you decide you need to include more of your girls, or want to finalize your color palatte before ordering, we can definitely set up another appointment for you.
